our mission

we help busy youth, adults & seniors find peace and happiness through spirited and soulful mobile (chair + mat) yoga classes & creative expression in a safe and welcoming environment

mari irwin, founder & ceo

mari is a life-long learner with a playful spirit, and a passion for stories, passport stamps, kids' art, music and puffy clouds.  she created Soul Candy Project to share yoga, breath work, meditation & creativity ~ practices that continue to help her get unstuck

having traveled from toronto to tianjin for work & play, mari delights in finding hidden and often overlooked beauty. she has a knack for identifying peoples' strengths & what feeds their spirit.  as a former docent at the albright-knox art gallery, mari offered engaging, creative & interactive tours for adults & young visitors alike.  in her past lives as a classroom teacher, international trainer & boutique director, meeting & event planner, trainer of K-12 educational technology or volunteering, her passion has always been the personal connection, the stories, idiosyncrasies & dynamism of the people she encounters

mari holds a master's degree in education & sees students' strengths ~ both in & out of the classroom. her classrooms have been K-12 schools, educational technology conferences, boardrooms, camps & on/off the yoga mat.  with a desire to help people navigate through "earth school," she received her 200-hour certification at kripalu center for yoga & health in stockbridge, ma under the guidance of sudha carolyn lundeen and larissa hall carlson.  she is also a gifted reiki practitioner and enjoys sharing this ancient healing modality with others

in this "one precious life" (as poet mary oliver calls it), mari believes we each need a safe space to breathe, heal & believe in one self. Soul Candy Project is a heart-centered offering and a prayer ~ that we create time and space to feed the spirit and taste the sweetness of our lives
