this invaluable program is designed specifically for a one-on-one connection with youths ages 9-17 to help them maneuver through life and its stressors through private, yoga-inspired sessions. it is customized for youths' specific goals with their needs in mind (e.g., stress reduction, strength*balance*coordination, proper posture*body awareness, happiness & expression through creative outlets) and helps them fill their "tool kit" for life. the schedule involves sixty-minute, in-person, weekly yoga sessions; take-home checklists for progress-tracking, goal-setting and accountability; and weekly meetings (approximately 30-60 minutes total) either in-person at the studio or online via skype for friendly progress updates & check-ins which include helpful, stress-reducing meditation sessions & inspiration. contact us for more information
I first started practicing yoga with Mari in the fall of 2014, and every session since I leave feeling relaxed, recharged, and better prepared to tackle whatever work lay ahead of me. One-on-one sessions with Mari were a way for me to escape the stress of high school and focus on taking care of myself. Not only was I introduced to Mari’s method of yoga which focuses on bettering all aspects of life, but I was offered a sense of understanding that made me feel as though I had a space in which to truly be myself. Mari helped me realize the importance of taking care of myself physically and mentally, and her sense of empathy is parallel to none. I feel so lucky to have had the experience of practicing yoga with Mari’s guidance— with each session being carefully curated to my personal needs, I am always certain that time the I spend with Mari is time well spent.

I attended Mari’s adult/child yoga class last Spring ... with my daughters and loved it! Like most modern families we are constantly on the go, so I looked forward to our weekly session where we could just breathe---literally!! I had little to no yoga experience prior to the class, but through Mari’s skillful teaching was able to quickly learn the basic poses and left each class with my body and mind feeling relaxed, peaceful, and happy (not to mention the great core workout)! The best part of the experience was observing my daughters using their newly learned techniques to sooth their stress. Awesome class!!
